Here is a growning collection of scenes "from the lake" from the first summer. As you might guess, it is increasingly difficult to think of being away from the "nature" and tranquility of the lake and woods.
To start, yes, there are fish in Granite Lake, as our son, Eric, found out.
Here he is at the dock, testing the appeal of nightcrawlers. 
By evening, he had some success with a small Northern Pike.
Which gave him the honors of frying the pike and some panfish for breakfast. 
Although it has not so far given us much fishing success, the pontoon is great for birdwatching and evening picnics on the lake. Here are Eric and Georgia "on the boat."
