Light and Sound
Description
Lectures, presentations and exhibitions relating to lighting and sound in performance were held in the New Stage Theatre with sessions in the lobby of the New Stage and in the Theatre space as well.
Five LCD monitor screens in the lobby space looped the representative lighting design work of prominent lighting designers including Jennifer Tipton, Enrico Bagnoli, and Willie Williams, presenting an overview of interesting imagery from a variety of places on the globe.
Running daily in the lobby space of the New Stage was an event entitled “The Sound Kitchen”, which featured a wide variety of sound designers and composers presenting their composition work for performance using a variety of digital equipment as “instruments” and playback tools. Think laptop computers, iPods, iPads, hand made electronic equipment, sequencers, effects processors and keyboards.
