Your Ed 350 journal should chronicle your mathematical and pedagogical thoughts, reactions, reflections, recommendations, insights, etc. as a result of attending class, reading newspapers or magazines, watching video or TV programs, hearing comments on education, reading assigned articles, viewing WEB pages, seeing math in "real world" or non-math classroom situations, and the like.
The purpose of the journal is to demonstrate that you are thinking about things mathematical and things pedagogical during this term, and that you see potential for taking the "real world" into the classroom and vice versa. Journal entries should be dated, should be at least as frequent as class periods, and should be kept in electronic form so that they can be submitted as an attachment or "cut and pasted" into an e-mail message when requested.
I will read the journals with great interest and will comment when time permits. However, if you have a "burning issue" that you would like to discuss, please come to see me.
