Feudalism, which is a contested term, refers to the emergence of local rule by warlords, and the diminished power of central authority. Looking at the sources, what would you say are the strengths and weaknesses of this approach? Was feudalism just organized chaos, or is it a reasonable solution to the problems of that particular time?
