You are encouraged to find one or at most two other members of the class with whom to work on the homework assignments. You must write up your homework individually; if you work with a group, record the names of others you worked with on your assignment. Assignments will be due at the beginning of class two class periods following their assignment and must be labeled with the assignment number. You will be given an opportunity to ask questions on the assignment in the intermediate class period. Late homework will require the instructor's signature in order to be graded.
Exams and Grading: There will be on-line quizzes given approximately once a week plus 3 in-class exams and a final. The three exams together will account for 60% of your grade. The final will account for 25% of your grade, the homework assignments will count for 10% and the Maple TA quizzes for 5%. Everyone must take the exams at the scheduled time unless previous arrangements have been made with the instructor. All exams will be administered under the honor system. You are responsible for knowing and following the honor code. The schedule below lists the tentative dates for the in-class exams and the unalterable time for the final exam.
Exam Schedule: (Warning: The final exam must be taken at the time given.)
