PERSONAL STATEMENT

I have been working at St. Olaf College since August 1988. My career goal is to maintain professional satisfaction as part of a detail-oriented team dedicated to achieving the objectives set forth as the mission of St. Olaf College. I am confident that I have developed the skills necessary to achieve success within Academic and Administrative environments. I have grown to appreciate the concerns and expectations of others and I am dedicated to meeting those goals.

Title: Administrative Assistant to the Vice President and Treasurer and Business Operations (10/99-present)

Responsibilities:

Perform duties as assigned by the Vice President & Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and Controller:

·          Manage information, accounts, computerized files, databases, spreadsheets, and website

·          Process mail, phone calls, emails, documents, reports, and correspondence

·          Maintain calendar, schedule appointments, and all associated paperwork

·          Research various topics and situations as assigned by the administrators as needed

·          Research and develop projects as assigned

·          Assist with development and revision of business process policies

·          Secretary to committees chaired by the VP & Treasurer

·          Other duties as assigned

Title: Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the College (4/98-9/99)

Responsibilities:

Serve as primary information resource, answering questions and directing office and telephone traffic

·          Coordinating and managing information flow within and among offices and departments

·          Provide administrative support and manage calendar for the Vice President and Treasurer

·          Provide secretarial/administrative support to the associate deans

·          Provide administrative support for the Faculty Development Committee

·          Track and monitor variety of budgets, using electronic spreadsheets

·          Coordinate arrangements for faculty meeting child care

·          Process office mail, photocopy, file, and maintain office supplies

·          Train, schedule and supervise student workers

·          Provide back up secretarial/administrative support for the office

·          Perform other related duties as assigned

Title: Academic Administrative Assistant to the Department of Religion (8/88-3/98)

Responsibilities:

·          Support for Chairperson and faculty

·          Process departmental and committee correspondence

·          Act as office receptionist

·          Scheduling and making appointments

·          Manage office records and teaching schedules, supplies, office equipment

·          Production of promotional publications

·          Coordinate, set up, evaluate and maintain computer equipment and software

·          Teach faculty the Bible Lab software as well as other programs
