Downloading the Speed-To-Fly Calculator

You can run this calculator on your own machine without an internet connection and (if you have a PC and are using Netscape) without the need to use my server for all the graphs. This is much faster than using the web-based version. Mac users and Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) users are out of luck here, as the programs required for graphing are written in Visual Basic for Windows, and MSIE has a 'feature' that makes it not respond correctly to the Javascript command document.open("application/x-windata").

But if you are using Netscape on a PC (and you SHOULD BE!!!) you are in luck:

First download spd2fly5.exe into a temporary directory and run it. Files will appear in the C:\spd2fly directory. In addition, four executables (echomsg, windata, wdisplay, and bmpgif) will be transferred to you c:\windows directory. Windata.exe and wdisplay.exe are critical for local printing.
In addition, you will need to assign the following MIME type in the 'preferences--helpers' section:
