       4. Why is this a favorite?

When graphing this function, use a constant, c, to "stretch" the magnitude 
of the amplitudes of this diminishing wave.  This is my favorite function 
because I think it models life in that we initially go through many ups and 
downs, but as we grow up, we become more and more stable and capable 
of "staying the course."  Thus, this function grows closer and closer to the 
line y=0.
