* In September, 2007,Dr. Jun Qian has been appointed as the assistant professor of Clarinet Performance and Chamber Music. He performed Concerto for Clarinet and Band by John Heins with the St. Olaf Band conducted by Dr. Tim Mahr during the " St. Olaf Band Day".

* In October, 2007, Whit Noble (08) won the St. Olaf Symphony Orchestra Solo Concerto compeition and is a soloist performing "Debussy's Primere Rhapsodie" during the SSO Spring tour of 2008.

* In December, 2007, St.Olaf Youth Clarinet Ensemble was established.

* InDecember 10th,2007, St. Olaf Clarinet Choir performed first Clarinet Choir Christmas Concert on campus.

* In January, 2008, Dr. Qian has been appionted as the clarinet teacher at Luterhn Summer Music Academy and Festival.
