Some of John Marshall's Favorite Chemical
Links
- The American Chemical Society
Our ACS has taken its share of knocks for high costs, C&EN, administrative excesses
and the list goes on. However, credit where credit is due. The ACS entry to the Internet
is first class. Check it out!
- The Duke University list of
chemistry department home pages.
Chemistry department home pages - lots and lots of them. Almost all of them contain
interesting links to other WEB sites. Also, the Duke University Chemistry Department
maintains a fine home page.
- A VERY complete index of chemistry on the WEB.
A WEB site dedicated to curious chemists. This site is truly a marvel - check it out! By
the way, did you ever wonder why there is no Nobel Prize for Mathematics?
- From the University of
Liverpool
A fantasitc collection of links that must be seen to be appreciated. Many thanks to
Michael Barker from the University of Liverpool for calling this to my attention.
- Links to chemistry journals.
NOTE:The following only enumerates the links available through the above
link. The following entries are not "hot".
- Journal of Biological Chemistry
- Journal of Computer-Aided Molecular Design
- Journal of Molecular Modeling
- Journal of The Electrochemical Society
- Mendeleev Communications - is an international journal of short
communications in chemistry, published jointly by The Royal Society of Chemistry and The
Russian Academy of Sciences since 1991, presents preliminary accounts of original and
significant work from Russia, other states of the former Soviet Union and elsewhere
- Russian Chemical Reviews - publishes reviews of the most current topical
problems in chemistry and in associated fields by the best Russian scientists.
- Applied Spectroscopy Journal
- European Mass Spectrometry
- Society for Applied Spectroscopy Newsletter
- Wave of the Future - new experimental electronic preprint journal of
chemistry and spectroscopy. Papers by faculty, postdoctoral and graduate students are
submitted online.
- Dreyfus Chemical Informatics Program
This WWW site is a pilot project funded by the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Chemical
Informatics Program to determine the utility of making chemical information available via
the Internet. One thing of interest is that they will have an employment clearing house
for chemistry. There is not much there yet but keep your eye on it.
- The Chemistry Department, University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill
This comes directly from "The Southern Part of Heaven". The University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill, a favorite place of mine, an outstanding chemistry department,
and a pretty neat WEB site.
- A neural net resource.
For those of us that dabble in neural nets, this is a pretty neat resource page.
Be certain to check out the favorite WEB sites of my colleagues and the
why not "surf" for your own? It's a lot of fun!
