V. The Famous (Infamous) Group Picture

The quality of the group picture was less than expected (actually, it was awful). However, with some digital enhancement the quality can be made acceptable. Starting with a bitmap (5.2 M), I sharpened it digitally. The final result is really quite good but much too big to post. The thumbnail below leads to a condensation of that picture (100 K) but at least a thinkable down load. And, while the quality is nowhere near as good as the enhanced bitmap (a 5000 fold compression does not improve quality) , it is almost acceptable.
