Getting up to speed on the Molbeam takes a while, as Will discovers.

Mike spent one evening with Evan in his graduate housing. It's tiny,
but quite livable.

The following day, we moved into undergraduate honors housing. We were quite pleased with the accomodations; the room was furnished with a fridge, freezer, and microwave...

... private bathroom...

... sleeping quarters...

... and not one, but two
air conditioning units! (A welcome change from the boiling heat of
Thorson...)

One of the neat things on campus was the Garden of Constants. It was
a small pathway with miscellaneous physical constants, computer science
keywords, and vector calculus symbols etched into plates along the
ground.

There were also large representations of the numerical digits 0 --
9; John demonstrates.

Mike is pictured with binary.

This conference has acquired the nickname "The Donut Conference."
Let's see... about 500 spectroscopists... about 500 dozen donuts... you
do the math.

Dr. Cederberg presented a talk in this room; you can see the title
slide here. Unfortunately, the only picture of Dr. Cederberg giving the talk didn't come out.
