CHEM 125 Structural Chemistry and Equilibrium

a.k.a.

General Chemistry

This study of chemical stoichiometry, equilibrium, coordination chemistry and atomic and molecular structure supplies the fundamental background on which all later chemistry courses depend.  It includes applications of equilibrium principles to acid-base chemistry.  Students attend three classes and one 3 hour laboratory each week.  This and or CHEM 121 are the first courses in the majors sequence.

Dr. Muth initially offered this course in the Fall of 2002.  He used Martin Silberberg's, "Chemistry, The Molecular Nature of Matter and Change" Third Ed. as his text.
