- January 2009 - Lauren Cook (09) became the soloist of the 2009 St. Olaf Band
- Tour of California.
- June 2008- Dr. Qian's solo performance of Malcolm Arnold Concerto No.2 with Xiamen Phiharmonic Orchestra in China
December 10th, 2007 - St. Olaf Clarinet Choir performed first Clarinet Choir Christmas Concert on campus.
December 2007 - St.Olaf Youth Clarinet Ensemble was established.
October 2007 - Whit Noble (08) won the St. Olaf Symphony Orchestra Solo Concerto compeition and is a soloist performing "Debussy's Primere Rhapsodie" during the SSO Spring tour of 2008.
September 2007 - Dr. Jun Qian has been appointed as the assistant professor of Clarinet Performance and Chamber Music. He performed Concerto for Clarinet and Band by John Heins with the St. Olaf Band conducted by Dr. Tim Mahr during the " St. Olaf Band Day".
