CS 284 (MCA), Spring 2020

• SQL quiz 5 today on Moodle - 1 hour time limit, finish by midnight

  • You may use course and online resources as references, but you should write all of your own code and all of your own verbal responses, with no collaboration.

  • Exception: You may copy code from examples appearing in worksheets or homework, or from your own prior code submissions for assignments.

  • Checking your answers with psql is permitted if you have time, but optional
    Advice: Provide answers for questions first, then check if you still have time.

Project

• Project rating results

• Project proposal form, due Sunday "midnight"

• Finding teams:

  • This class meeting

  • Piazza form or (if that doesn't work) email to class

• Project parameters:

  • Use course technologies: Javascript, React Native, SQL, etc.

  • Backend requirement: Each project must have an SQL backend capability.

    • A Lab 4 on Monday will set up for this capability.
      (Will release early if possible. Will also include navigation)

  • Same idea may inspire independent projects for multiple teams/individuals

  • Stogit shared project repos per team (will be created after teams are determined)

    • Individual projects, if any, can use that individual's course repo, using the directory name proj

  • A sequence of project deliverables will be announced on Monday

    • Plan on incremental development and a baseline version.

    • Short Meet presentations from every project will be due on Wednesday, for feedback from class
