Nutrient uptake and sediment transport in an artificial
stream

This project is still under development in collaboration with a number
of physical scientists and ecologists. My role is to develop a
plan for studying the effects of sediment size and changes in stream
discharge on nutrient uptake in surface and subsurface water, as well
as the influence of algal production on microbial processes. We
are still in the early planning stages, but we will ready by this
spring to start collecting data. This is a potentially exciting
research opportunity for one or more students, so keep checking this
page for updates.
