This picture is taken from Panarama Point in Grand Canyon National Park. You can see the Colorado River in the background. This was taken in October , 2002.

This waterfalls is called Gullflos...which is located several hours north of Reykjavik, Iceland. It is the largest waterfall in Iceland. This picture was taken in March of 2002. Iceland is an incredible place to visit...one of my favorite.

This is from my most recent trip ...to Alaska. This picture was taken on Kodiak Island in the Kodiak Wildlife Refuge...home to about 3,000 Kodiak Brown bears...the largest in the world. We saw about 17...amazing!

This is a picture of Yosemite Valley in Yosemite National Park taken on a trip in the summer of 2000. El Capitan is on the left. Half Dome can be seen in the background in the center. Yosemite is definately all that people say it that it is!

This was taken at the edge of the crater of Mt. St. Helens. I climbed this on July 29, 1997. This probably ranks as my favorite outdoor experience. It was incredible! I climbed it with my friend Jeff (who along with his wife Pam, are nice enough to let me keep visiting their lovely state). It took about 4 1/2 hours to climb...a little over 2 to get down (we slid on snow most of the way down). That's Spirit Lake in the background, a newly forming lava dome in the lower left corner, with about two-thirds of Mt.Ranier behind Spirit Lake. Ya gotta love the state of Washington!!

This is from a trip in 1995 and is taken in the Mt. Adams Wilderness area...that's Mt. Adams in the background to the right (you can barely see it due to its snow cover). Mt. Adams is located about 45 miles south of Mt. Ranier.

Here is a nice view of Teddy Roosevelt National Park. I spent 4 days there in the summer of '96. This is from the northern unit of the park (which is nicer and much quieter than the southern unit).

Minnesota's north shore of Lake Superior is the location of this picture. This is from a beautiful weekend during October of '98.
