It is summer, but without a vacation so far. 

June and July have included plenty of office work and a fine group of students in my Upward Bound course.  That course, designed as a gateway for a select group of college-bound students, centered on Heilbroner's famous text The Worldly Philosophers, then finished with several articles on global policy issues.  The idea is to acquaint students with the history of thought as it relates to a single word - capitalism.  For more information, see classes.
