Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals

Bridging Scholarships to Japan
These are open to U.S. citizens for semester long scholarships for study abroad in Japan. Sponsored by the Association of Japanese Teachers and corporate funding, there is no requirement for Japanese language facility. All majors are encouraged to apply.

Freeman-ASIA Program
The program offers awards for study in Asia forAmerican undergraduates who plan to spend a summer, semester or academic year in East and Southeast Asia, assisting them with information and financial assistance. Awardees will be expected to share their experiences with their home campus to encourage study abroad by others, and to spread understanding of Asia in their home communities. Applicants' study abroad advisors must verify financial need and endorse a student's application, before it is submitted to IIE.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
The program will provide up to $5,000 for U.S. citizens and nationals who are undergraduate students at two year and four year institutions to pursue overseas study, enabling students who have limited financial means to participate in study abroad program opportunities worldwide. Priority consideration for awards will be given to applicants of academic merit who receive Federal Pell Grants under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.
Deadline: Mid-October and Mid-April, depending on time frame.
Rotary Foundation Scholarships
Offers a wide range of funding opportunities for study and work abroad, including Ambassadorial Scholarships, World Peace Scholarships, and Humanitarian Service grants . These are open to citizens of the U.S. and other countries in which Rotary Clubs are located, U.S. citizens ordinarily apply in their home district; other students must apply in their home country.
Deadline: Applications are due approximately 18 months prior to the beginning of travel abroad
Glimpse (Your Stories from Aborad) - The Correspondents Program
The Glimpse Correspondents program is an opportunity for students, volunteers, teachers, and travelers who will be abroad this year to get their stories and photography published at high-profile publications and get paid for it. The program provides selected writers and photographers with a $600 stipend and one on one editorial training and support in creating a portfolio of published work.
