Crossways Camping Ministries

Crossways operates three outdoor ministry sites in Wisconsin: Imago Dei Village, Pine Lake Camp and Waypost Camp. These facilities provide Summer Youth and Family Camp in June, July and August. Summer Day Camps are held in member congregations led by Crossways summer staff and servant and adventure based programs travel around the state. Crossways brings people together in the name of Christ so that individual lives may be positively impacted, grow in faith and Christian service, and so that communities of faith might be strengthened for service wherever God has placed them.

Luther Crest Bible Camp

Luther Crest was originally a boy’s camp, built by a man named Heinie Brock, who later became well-known for his ice-skating in the Ice Follies. In the fall of 1945, the Milaca-Glenwood-Fergus Falls Bible Camp Association bought the camp for $25,000, and the Luther Crest Bible Camp Articles of Incorporation were submitted to the State of Minnesota.

Faith based summer camp for boys and girls ages 8 to 18. Our programs run one week at a time for 9 weeks with two weeks of staff training for a total of 11 weeks. You will work together with 30 other college aged staff and our starting pay is $210 a week.

Sugar Creek Bible Camp is a place where all generations encounter Christ through God's people and creation. Situated on 660 beautiful acres in SW Wisconsin, Sugar Creek offers summer camp programs for young people in 1-12 grades. The summer camp programs focus on small group ministry, with campers staying in covered wagons, a frontier town, cabins, tents, and houseboats. Programs include daily campfire worship, Bible study, biking, canoeing on the Mississippi, outdoor cooking, horseback riding, and much more.

Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry consists of two sites – Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion – which offer campers and staff similar yet unique camping experiences.  Daily activities of worship, games, swimming, Bible study, canoeing, and creative arts are designed to fit the age of the campers as well as the uniqueness of the location.  Age progression in the programs provides an introduction to camping skills for younger campers and a more challenging camping experiences for older campers.  Our Staff have the opportunity to work with a wide variety ages and programs at both camps and in local communities.

We are a camp for kids with special needs. We serve kids with Down Syndrome, Heart Disease, Skin Disorders, Autism. We also serve families affected by HIV/AIDS and mentally challenged adults. Our campers come for a week at a time, each week we serve a particular special need. We work with Partner groups who bring these groups. Camp Knutson hires 15 college students to serve these campers.

Children ages 8-17 enjoy a residential camping experience where campers discover outdoor, athletic, and creative activities in a safe and medically supervised environment.
