RESA Facility Policies

Individuals participating in the RESA facilities must sign a waiver holding St. Olaf College harmless of injury or accident while using the facility. Upon receipt of the signed waiver and paid fees, a recreation pass will be issued to you. This pass is for the exclusive use of the person named on the card. You may be asked to show your photo ID as well as your recreation pass any time you are in the buildings.

  • The use of the RESA facilities is limited to St. Olaf students, faculty staff, emeriti, retirees, alumni, parents and those with proper ID.
  • Emeriti/Retirees/Regents/Alumni will aquire a RESA pass and give this to the main desk worker in exchange for a band to wear on their wrist or ankle. Faculty/staff will show wristband at the desk.
  • Please have your recreation band available and visible at all times to building staff while using the facilities.
  • THE ID or RECREATION PASS IS NOT TRANSFERABLE, and guests must be accompanied by a St. Olaf community member.
  • ID card replacement fee: $10.
  • Your children under the age of 18 with proper ID must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Individuals without their ID card and/or wristband, and children under the age of 18 who are NOT accompanied by an adult, will be asked to leave.
  • The weight room and fitness room are limited to individuals 16 years of age and older.
  • Participants should bring appropriate clothing and proper non-marking athletic shoes to change into prior to working out. Lockers are not available. T-shirt with sleeves must be worn in the fitness and weight rooms and on the climbing wall.
  • Court use in the facility is limited to appropriate activities not harmful to the floor surface.
  • Participants are NOT to move and/or modify any equipment. Contact a staff member, and the request will be honored if possible.
  • Injuries/accidents or equipment failures should be reported immediately to a staff member.
  • Pets (other than service animals), bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, scooters or spikes of any kind are not permitted.
  • Spitting is prohibited except in proper receptacles.
  • The RESA Department is not responsible for loss due to theft. Do not bring valuables to the facility.
  • Anyone violating posted policies or engaging in inappropriate behavior is subject to immediate removal with loss of privileges and revocation of pass.
  • The RESA facilities are tobacco free.
  • You may use the facilities during the posted recreation hours only. The department has the right to close the facilities for college-sponsored events.
  • Priority is given to St. Olaf students, faculty and staff.
