COURSE DESCRIPTIONS FOR GENERAL EDUCATION 111 and RELIGION 121

As part of the St. Olaf general education curriculum, students are required to complete General Education 111 First Year Wrtiting and Religion 121 courses during their first year. Students will use the course submission process to make their section choices during July 17 - August 20, 2009 at 8:00 a.m.

You are registering for either Religon 121 OR GE 111 First Year Writing, NOT BOTH COURSES.. Students placed in the religion group will take Religon 121 in semester I and wait to take GE 111 until semester II. Students placed in the GE 111 group will take GE 111 in semester II and wait to take Religon 121 in semester II.

ONLINE PLACEMENT EXAMS

Placement Exams are offered in French, German, Spanish, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics. New students should review this information to complete all applicable placement tests before arriving on campus for Week One orientation.

Deadline date to complete online placement exams is August 15, 2009.

TRANSFER CREDIT, AP/IB/PSEO/CIS

New students wishing to transfer credits to St. Olaf and/or completing AP/IB/PSEO/CIS credits, review this important infomation from the Registrar's Office.

ACCESSING YOUR ST. OLAF DEGREE AUDIT

A degree audit is a record of your progress toward your St. Olaf degree.  It lists all degree requirements EXCEPT those that pertain to your major(s)/concentration(s).
