The Academic Support Center (ASC) works with students, faculty, and staff to assist students who strive to become stronger independent and collaborative learners.

ASC Office Services

Subject Area Tutoring
Individual tutors are available in most subject areas. They are approved by department faculty adn are trained to work with students experiencing serious difficulties in a specific course. An ASC professional staff member will work with you to develop an overall study plan that may include tutoring.

Student Disability Services
The Student Disability Services Specialist consults with and assists students with documented or suspected disabilities. Services include helping to identify a disability, reviewing documentation, assessing study skills and time management needs, and implementing appropriate accommodations.

Academic Skills Counseling
ASC professional staff members are available to help you with assessing academic skills, or to recommend appropriate academic assistance.

English Language Skills Assistance (E.L.S.A.)
E.L.S.A. is assistance for students who want to further enhance their basic and intermediate English skills in speaking, reading, and writing as well as assistance for those whose first language is not English.
