Writing Place
Walk-in help with writing
The Writing Place provides assistance during any stage of the writing process.  Peer tutors are available to talk about essays, research papers, lab reports, poems, plays, and stories, scholarship letters, and more.  Appointments are not required.

Math Clinics
Walk-in help with math
Math Clinics are staffed by advanced mathematics students to help you get the most out of your math assignments.  Appointments are not required.

ELSA
English Language Learning Assistance
Students who want to improve their English reading and writing may request individual help. Call 507-786-3288 to make an appointment.

Tutoring
Individual tutors are available in most subject areas. They are approved by department faculty and are trained to work with students experiencing serious difficulties in a specific course.  An ASC professional staff member will work with you to develop an overall study plan that may include tutoring.  Call 507-786-3288 to make an appointment.

Study Skill Center

Walk-in help with study skills and time management
Academic Assistants are tutors trained by the ASC professional staff to provide general help with managing time, taking notes, studying for tests, reading analytical material, studying a foreign language, or solving problems.  Appointments are available at 507-786-3288, or you may walk in during scheduled hours to see if an Academic Assistant is available.

Student Disability Services

The Student Disability Services Specialist consults with and assists students with documented or suspected disabilities.  Services include helping to identify a disability, reviewing documentation, assessing study skills and time management needs, and implementing appropriate accommodations.  Call 507-786-3288 for an appointment.
