SOUL OF A CITIZEN
If the Peace Fair this weekend leaves you with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to use your St. Olaf education to solve some of today’s most pressing issues, come checkout some of the CEL’s resources addressing citizenship and social change. Soul of a Citizen by Paul Loeb presents an alternative vision of hope and courage. Based on thirty years studying the psychology of social involvement, Loeb describes how ordinary citizens can make their voices heard and their actions count in a time when we're often told neither matter. Loeb’s work is complete with stirring stories of everyday heroes who saw something wrong, heeded the voice of their conscience, gathered support and, acting in concert with others, changed things and made a difference.
