INTERNSHIPS
Application deadline: April 26, 2008 — Kemps LLC, manufactures and markets milk, ice cream and related dairy products under a variety of strong brands including Kemps, Hood, Hagan, Green's and Arrowhead. As the marketing intern, responsibilities include assisting in day-to-day coordination of branded cost savings initiatives, participating in planning activities for 2009 summer season and much more.
Want to be a part of an exciting opportunity? Learn the routes of the music industry, recording studio, travel, and network with lots of people? If you have a passion for music, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have the positive drive and enthusiasm for the arts, read further: Interns will assist in the marketing, promotion, and music production of classical/cross-over singer Andrea Lynn Cianflone. Some of the many duties include following up on phone and email conversations with key clients, creating weekly reports and continuing consistent communication with team members, delivering/emailing/faxing flyers and/or press kits to clients, and carrying out marketing plans developed by VIA Enterprises. HealthFinders Collaborative is a grassroots collaborative of residents, associations, and institutions from Northfield and Faribault whose mission is to provide quality, accessible, and culturally sensitive healthcare services at no cost to low-income and uninsured residents of greater Rice County. The internship position will involve identifying and interviewing professionals and organizations in teh local community and beyond in order to gather feedback on best practices for a potential web-based resource for Northfield and its surrounding communities. Based on the research, the intern will make a final recommendation for how to best develop and maintain a resource of services offered in the local community.
Application deadline: April 21, 2008—CBBC connects motivated, energetic St. Olaf and Carleton college students to local Northfield business people for short projects attempting to study, research, and potentially solve real-world business dilemmas. CAREERS
Deadline to apply is April 15, 2008 - This position will provide a concrete, coordinated opportunity for a graduating senior/recent graduate to remain/return to St. Olaf for one year to hone his/her skills by working closely with the full array of vocational discernment programs with the Lilly Grant Program. The models for this position are the Americorps and Lutheran Volunteer Corps programs that engage students in a year of service as they explore their career options. In addition to contributing to the work of the Lilly Grant Program, the intern will learn by doing, gaining insights and expertise that will contribute to his/her ability to respond to a calling to serve in the non-profit sector.
Deadline to apply is April 18, 2008 — Are you looking for the perfect work experience to stand out on your resume? Do you have the desire to critique resumes & cover letters, lead workshops, help grow programs and work with other students to explore their career track? Peer Advisors welcome students to the Center for Experiential Learning (CEL) and help them in seeking career, internship, civic engagement, community-based work study or entrepreneurial experiences. They talk students through the graduate school application process and resources on choosing a major; assist students with resumes and cover letters; help them navigate searches for job, internship, and volunteer opportunities; and work with them on identifying internet and book resources for all of the above needs.
Application deadline: April 30, 2008 — The specialist is expected to serve general needs in all aspects of product development, product coordinating, and sourcing. SCHOLARSHIPS
Deadline: April 21, 2008 — The David Minge Endowment helps defray costs for St. Olaf College sponsored academic programs or academic credit internships in Washington D.C. The program is specifically focused on peace and justice issues and is available for semester, interim, and summer experiences. In most instances, awards are in the amount of $1000. CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
The Monterey Institute of International Studies offers PCMI degrees such as MBA International Business, MPA International Management, TESOL, International Environmental Policy. PCMI programs require separate applications to both the Monterey Institute and Peace Corps. PCMI students spend 2-3 semesters on campus in preparation for the 27 months of service in Peace Corps. After service, PCMI students return to campus to complete a required project for graduation, based on the Peace Corps assignment. Apply at the Monterery Institute of International Studies Website.

Deadline: Friday, May 9 — Spend a week at Harvard Business School! for this week-long MBA experience. This program targets rising seniors who are members of minority groups typically underrepresented in business school and corporate America (African American, Latino, Native American, Lesbian, Gay, etc.).
