Symposium 2006: Planning for Success
Minnesota Chapter of the Financial Planning Association is focused on increasing student awareness of career opportunities within our industry. Amongst other scholarships, the FPA awards a scholarship(s) for entry to our annual symposium to those college students interested in learning more about the financial planning industry. The student's area of interest could include planner, planner assistant, or other support roles.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about the industry and for networking with industry professionals and prospective employers.

* Love to be challenged by "REAL WORLD" problems?
* Want to EXPAND your SKILL SET in a way that will be noticed by future employers?
Apply to be part of the Target Case Challenge this Fall and impress the recruiters at Target with your analytical skills and creative talents!
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Student teams will be presented with a "Surfing the Digital Wave" case study based on the marketing challenges faced by the digital media industry. The case study was developed by Target Corporation to provide teams of students with a 'real world experience' by solving current issues that Target faces.

Teams will have approximately 4 weeks to develop a solution to the case and to prepare a professional presentation of their solution.

Teams will present their solution to a group of Target executives (including Ole Alumni) at Target headquarters in Minneapolis. Presentations will be approximately 30 minutes in length with an additional 15 minutes Q & A.

Teams will be judged and a winner announced. The competition will be followed by a reception.
