To date, the Entrepreneurial Studies program has given more than $500,000 to over 180 students to fund both for-profit and social entrepreneurship initiatives. These initiatives have spanned an assortment of interesting fields such as music, jewelry, golf discs, apparel, discount coupons, boat building, importing, magazine publishing, beta fish breeding, bread making and private yoga instruction.

The Grant program awards grants up to $3,000 to individuals or teams to launch sustainable enterprises that create value - commercial, social, artistic and/or scientific. Funds are awarded to students for entrepreneurial projects with social and economic potential.

Sudip Bhandari ’14
The Anne Frank Project

Working with the Anne Frank Project in Amsterdam and select schools in Nepal, Sudip designed an educational display and workshop to educate Nepalese youth about the consequences of compromising democracy in order to support an extremist leader. The touring curriculum accurately portrays the history of Germany, Hitler and the Holocaust, something the current Nepalese curriculum does not currently address.

Merritt Hockey School
Merritt Hockey School is a hockey camp located in Merritt, British Columbia, Canada. The hockey school teaches young hockey players from the age of 5 to 15 the skills of skating, shooting, stick handling, and passing in a fun and comfortable learning environment. In its third year of operation, the Merritt Hockey School generates several students each week.

EntwinedWeb Solutions is a web services consulting company that works with businesses to deliver customized services to solve businesses' technology problems as well as developing our own software products with a focus on open-sourced technologies and transparency.

Matt Minea ’12
Bee Keeping
From start to finished product, Matt built the bee storage units, maintains the colony, harvests the honey and sells the product.  As the colony matures, Matt intends to sell the honey at the local food cooperative.

Minnesota Youth Golf Camp
The MN Youth Golf Camp is a week-long golf camp for youth ages 10 to 17 that allows participants to grow in their skills and abilities.  The camp is held on the campus of St Olaf College and employs Ole varsity golf athletes.
