The Grant program awards grants up to $3,000 to St. Olaf students or teams that develop the best action plan for an entrepreneurial venture. Funds are awarded to students for entrepreneurial projects with social and economic potential. Students propose an entrepreneurial idea, develop an action plan, acquire a faculty advisor and pitch their idea to a committee. If selected, students then carry out the plan with guidance from the entrepreneurial program.

If awarded, the grant covers stipulated expenses incurred in the development of the business and students will agree to a number of terms & conditions and will be asked to put together an advisory board with the help of the Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Students participating in this experience will gain an understanding of the determination and focus required to build a successful, sustainable venture.
