- OleRecruiting – internship and job postings for Oles
- Internships & Jobs by Interest Area – listings of search engines categorized by industry
- Minnesota Internship & Job Resources - links to MN search engines as well as other MN private colleges’ career center websites
- Resources For Specific Populations – search engines for ethnically diverse students as well as women, GLBT, or students with disabilities
- Internships - Specific Databases – includes search engines for both domestic and international internships
- Summer Job Links – links to on-campus summer employment, other summer jobs in MN, and opportunities with national and international summer camps
- Federal Jobs & Internships – information on opportunities with the federal government, including postings, application tips, and jobs by major/interest area

- Watch the CEL Video Workshops – they include general search strategies, area specific strategies, taking a gap year, and searching for international experiences

- Individual company websites – check for links titled ‘employment opportunities,’ ‘job openings,’ ‘careers,’ or ‘human resources’

Resources for Identifying Organizations to Target:
- Alumni (Online Alumni Directory) - search by occupational area, city, major)
- OleRecruiting (company of interest may be posting a job in a department that is not your interest and you can browse employer profiles and contact information)
- Networking
- Directories (MN Nonprofit Directory, for example)
- Qwest Dex or Yellow pages for that city
- Online search (find by searching Yahoo or Google by typing in "(interest area) (city)" or other combinations
- Various job and internship resource books at the CEL
- Chamber of Commerce in a specific city
- Professional Associations Websites
Strategies for Soliciting Openings
- Visit company website to check for openings
- Call the organization and inquire if there are any new or anticipated/upcoming openings
- Mail a cover letter and resume to the director of your department of interest
- Network with alumni, family, friends who might work at your organization of interest
