Are you a Sophomore interested in community service that could use a $15,650 scholarship?

Consider applying to the Phillips Scholars program.

The Phillips Scholar program awards six scholarships to Minnesota Private College students that design and implement community service projects that benefit under-served populations in Minnesota. The Phillips foundation is especially interested in supporting projects that focus on human services, health, education, those with disabilities, and eliminating discrimination.  And the Center for Experiential Learning wants to support you in the application process.

  • Have an excellent academic record (minimum GPA 2.75)
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Have demonstrated community and campus leadership
  • Have a determination to serve people who are disadvantaged and
  • Design and be willing to implement a community service project the summer after his/her junior year (2011). (Note: St. Olaf student projects can take place anywhere in Minnesota, not only Northfield.)
