Why did you become involved with the Northfield reads and Counts Tutor Program? 
I thought it’d be fun and challenging.  

Describe the student, grade level, and subject matter you work with each week. 
Last year I lead book clubs for fifth graders and this year I am helping 6th grade ESL students with math and Social Studies. 

What skills and communication techniques do you use or have learned from tutoring? 
Tutoring is helping me to improve my leadership and clarification skills. 
 
Describe the relationship you have with the students and teachers you work with. 

I had a wonderful relationship with the fifth grade teacher. She told me exactly what I needed to do with the kids and was always smiling! 
 
How do you approach challenges in your work or getting to work. 
I approach challenges with patience and a positive attitude.  
 
Describe what you have learned, gained, or experienced by participating in the tutoring program. 
I enjoy experiencing school from the “adult” side.
