Morris K. Udall Scholarships
Offers scholarships for sophomores and juniors pursuing careers in environmental public policy and for Native American or Alaska Native sophomores and juniors pursuing careers in health care or tribal public policy. Recipients receive $5,000 towards expenses for tuition, fees, books, and room and board for one year.
Deadline: must be nominated through undergraduate institution -- if interested, contact Career Center by November of application year.

Environmental Careers Organization (ECO)
ECO places approximately 400 interns each year in environmental "internships," though most of these pay quite well and provide good entry-level opportunities for graduating seniors. If you are a college junior, senior or graduate student, OR you have completed your Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree within the last three years, you are eligible. Internships last from 3 months to 2 years. Average stipend is $425 per week.

Environmental Health Sciences
The Environmental Health Sciences (EnHS) program at the University of Minnesota is one of the oldest and most highly ranked in the country. For over 60 years, it has been a national educational and research leader in environmental health.  The program provides the scientific, technological, policy, and management skills needed to address a broad and continually changing spectrum of environmental and occupational health concerns. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency–Fellowships Internships and Student Programs

Global Change Education Program–US Dept. of Energy Fellowships & Scholarships
For students interested in research ecology, atmospheric sciences, climatology, computer modeling, earth system processes, etc. Includes SURE (Summer Undergrad. Research Experience), GREF (Graduate Research Environmental Fellowships) and SOARS (Significant Opportunities in Atmospheric Research and Science) Stipends, housing and transportation allowances, financial aid for grad school available

Student Conservation Association
SCA sponsors several conservation and environmental programs, mainly in national parks, forests and wildlife refuges. Undergraduates and recent alumni are eligible for the program. SCA now offers AmeriCorps education awards of between $1,180 to $4,725 to individuals who successfully complete an SCA Conservation Internship. The award can be applied toward existing college loans or future tuition. Plus, your students get college loan deferment and SCA's generous financial package of travel, housing, a weekly living allowance and insurance.
