____ Process the following post-graduate options using CEL resources and choose one to begin pursuing as a primary goal:
- Graduate school/professional school
- Service/volunteer opportunities
- Work in private sector
- Work in nonprofits
- Work internationally
- Work in education
- Work in government
- Temporary work
- Some combination of above
____ Learn what steps are necessary to pursue the above choice and what resources are available to help you in the CEL.
____ Create a timetable and allocate time each week to put your plan into action. Utilize career counselors in the CEL for assistance.
____ Conduct informational interviews with people in your area of interest to identify some opportunities. Use the online alumni directory as a resource.
____ Browse OleRecruiting and our other job search links to identify opportunities.
____ Write a resume and have it critiqued by a peer advisor in the CEL.
____ Write a cover letter template and have it critiqued in the CEL.
____ Identify and talk with people who might speak on your behalf or write a letter of reference to inform them of your plans and collect their contact information.
