I've Decided on a Major. What Can I Do Next?

q Declare your major with the Registrar's Office.

q Begin to meet with faculty and/or the chair of that department to determine the best course of action with your classes so that you meet the requirements of the major.

q Experience it outside the classroom! Drop in and talk with our peer advisors or meet with a CEL counselor to determine whether job shadowing, finding a mentor, volunteering, getting an internship, or other activities are the next best steps for you to see how your major plays out in the real world! The CEL is here to help you come up with a plan to maximize your time at St. Olaf that complements your academics so that you are armed with experience, skills, and tools for the real world.
