Alive Magazine
Minneapolis, MN
May-August 2008
Alive believes that every young woman has a God-given story to tell and that she deserves a safe place to question, explore, and share what makes her fully alive. In that spirit, Alive invites young women (ages 13-25) to reflect on their unique experiences, express their individual passions, and develop their creative gifts as they share in a dynamic, encouraging community, grow in mind, body, and spirit, and affect change in the world.
Because Alive Magazine believes that every young woman has a story to share, Alive seeks to highlight a variety of experiences, interests, and talents young women have. While we encourage all of our potential contributors to write their own stories, we do occasionally hear of an event, organization, or news story that requires an Alive staff member to research and write the story in third-person.Of course, interviews and articles are not the only tasks requiring skilled, creative writing. We are committed to you having a positive encounter with the media/publishing world that will not only provide worthwhile work experience, but will help you reflect on who you are and where you want to go. In that spirit, we tailor each internship to the participant, creating a mutually beneficial experience for both Alive and you.
