Summer Intern

Responsibilities
Working in our Northfield office, the intern will be involved in a number of projects. The intern will be involved in consulting and advising local businesses in the areas of business and financial plan development. The intern position will also assist in advancing our marketing and promotion plan by updating our business resources and marketing materials, including our website. This position will involve collaboration with the Northfield Chamber of Commerce, the Northfield Downtown Development Corporation, and the City of Northfield 's Economic Development Authority. This will be a varied and fun position working hands on with the NEC Executive Director and local business owners and entrepreneurs. The student intern will gain practical skills in business and financial plan development, as well as marketing.

Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior with strong academic record
  • An understanding of the entrepreneurial/business environment
  • Strong research and analytical abilities, ability to extend knowledge and skills to the topic at hand and to conceptualize and frame relevant questions
  • Evidence of effectiveness working independently, demonstrated self-starter
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to interact well with all kinds of people

Compensation
This is a full-time, paid internship position. Compensation range $3,500-$4,000.
