Medical Content Development Intern
June 1-August 31, 2008

Position Description

  • Adding/modifying medical content in ProVation MD and other Wolters Kluwer Point of Care Software.
  • Testing ProVation MD and other Wolters Kluwer Point of Care Software medical content.
  • Creating test plans and change requests for ProVation MD and other Wolters Kluwer Point of Care Software.
  • Completing research as assigned related to medical content for ProVation MD and other Wolters Kluwer Point of Care Software.
  • Working with the Medical Content team and others at ProVation to ensure a user-friendly and accurate/compliant application for Procedure documentation and CPT/ICD coding.

Qualifications

  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior with strong academic record
  • Strong research and analytical abilities, ability to extend knowledge and skills to the topic at hand and to conceptualize and frame relevant questions
  • Evidence of effectiveness working independently, demonstrated self-starter
  • Learns quickly
  • Ability to interact well with all kinds of people
  • Understanding of and respect for diversity
  • Enjoys a challenging and learning environment
  • Excellent team participation/collaboration skills

Compensation
Approximately $6,000, paid bi-weekly, for full-time work from June 1 to August 31.
