Turning on The System
- See the Art department secretary to obtain a key to the cabinets. Press the "Start Here Button" on the lower right side of the screen. The projector takes about 20 seconds to warm up. (after you select a source)
Projector
- Select the desired input from the menu on the left side of the screen.To project the computer, press the computer button and then select "Dedicated Computer" to view the Macintosh. The computer can also be used to play DVDs and audio CDs. On the wireless keyboard press F12 and hold to eject the CD-ROM drive To hook up a laptop, connect the cable labeled "laptop computer cable" to the SVGA port on the back of the laptop. For sound connect the audio cable, which is attached to the laptop cable, to the audio out port on the laptop.
VHS
- To play a VHS tape, turn on the JVC VCR press the power button located on the upper left part of the VCR. Then select VCR from the menu screen to project the VCR. Insert tape and press play either on the unit or from the screen. To turn off, press eject and then the power button.
DVD
- To turn on the DVD player, press the Power button on the upper left of the DVD player and select the DVD button from the on screen menu. Press the Play button either on the unit or from the onscreen menu. The onscreen menu also has a 2DVD Menu, which allows you to go to the top menu of the DVD.
DV
- To play a DV turn on the JVC VCR press the power button located on the upper left part of the VCR. Then select VCR from the menu on screen to project the VCR. Insert a DV and press play.
Document Camera
- To turn on the document camera press the camera button on the screen and flip the power switch on the upper-right hand side of the camera. Raise the left and right arms, pressing the button at the far end of the arms to release them. Use the focus and zoom buttons as needed.
Cassette
- To turn on the cassette, press the power button on the Sony
cassette located on the upper left of the unit. Select one of the 2 tape players. Press the 2nd button from the right end of the casette player you are using in order to open the tape player to insert the tape. Press the door shut and select the button at the left end, marked with a >, to play your tape.All controls except
volume must be controlled from the unit.
Shutting Down the System
- To turn off the system, turn off each individual component.
For the Mac, go to the Special menu and select Shutdown. Then
hit the To System Off button on the lower right hand corner of
the screen.
