2.2 Volume Control

The “Volume” control dial is located on the Video Switcher (directly below the “Display Power” button) and controls the volume for the VCR/DVD combo unit, both computers, and, if present, a laptop.  This is the only functioning volume control in the cabinet.

2.6 Document Camera

Make sure the light arms and the camera arm are fully extended.  The Power button is located on the rear right side of the Document Camera.  On the Video Switcher, select the “Document Camera” button (bottom right).  To switch between the overhead lights (documents on regular paper) and the backlit option (transparencies), press the corresponding button on the Document Camera control panel.  Please allow the machine a few seconds to complete switching between each function.  For the best picture quality press the Auto Focus (right front) button.  To turn off the Document Camera, simply press the power button.  Please fold down the light arms and camera arm when you are done.

2.7 Laptop Connection

Plug the video cable into the appropriate video out port on the back of your laptop.  Turn on the Document Camera and choose the “Document Camera” button on the Video Switcher (bottom right).  Press the “RGB1” button (front) on the Document Camera.  For network and audio connections, plug the network and audio cables into the appropriate connections on your laptop.

3. System Power – Off

If necessary, turn off the computers using the computer’s menu in the normal manner.  Turn off any cabinet components that may still be on (e.g., the DVD, the VCR) with the power button on the component.  Turn off the Video/Data Projector by pressing the “Display Power” button in the Video Switcher for five seconds.  The blue lights on the Video Switcher will start a flashing pattern, the Projector display will turn black, and Projector will start a “cool down” process.  The fans in the system will stay on as they continue to cool the system.  Return the Wireless Keyboards, laser pointers and remote controls to the drawer.  (Failure to turn off the system in this order may cause data loss on the computers and/or damage to the projector.)
