Common Sense Reminders

1. To Display the iMac Computer on the Projector

  1. Turn on the projector: Press the On button in the control panel located on the top of the desk. This will start the projector, it will take up to 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Turn on to the iMac computer by following the dotted line on top of the mac to the power button on the back right of the computer.

2. To Display VHS/DVD Videos on the Projector

  1.  Turn power on for the projector: Press the On button in the control panel located on the top of the desk. This will start the projector, it will take up to 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Push VHS/DVD button on the Control panel
  3. Turn on power for VCR/DVD
  4. Insert tape and push Play button on VCR or Insert the DVD and press play on the DVD side controls on the player.
  5. Use the dial labeled VOLUME on the control panel on the top of the desk to adjust volume level for video playback

3. To Display Objects or Transparencies with the Document Camera

  1. Turn power on for the projector: Press the On button in the control panel located on the top of the desk. This will start the projector, it will take up to 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Turn on the Document Camera
  3. Press the Doc Cam button on the control panel on the top of the desk.  
  4. Select your preferred lighting: DOC CAMERA/UPPER for objects or standard paper; OVERHEAD/BASE for transparencies
  5. Enlarge or reduce the size of a projected object by using the TELE and WIDE buttons
  6. If an object is out of focus, press the AUTO FOCUS button

4. To Display a Laptop Computer on the Projector

  1. Turn power on for the projector: Press the On button in the control panel located on the top of the desk. This will start the projector, it will take up to 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Press the laptop button on the control panel located on the top of the desk.

5. Turning off Equipment when Finished

  1. Turn off the VCR with its power button
  2. Turn off computer by going to the Special menu and selecting Shut Down
  3. To turn off projector press the off button for the projector on the left side of the main control box located on the top of the desk.  (Once the projector has been turned off, the fan will continue to run two minutes to cool down the bulb.  The projector cannot be turned back on during this two minute cool down period.)
