Use the COMPUTER (Windows or Mac) |
On the COMPUTER,
To change the operating system: From Mac to Windows: Log-off Mac. Wait for the menu screen. Choose Windows. From Windows to Mac: Reboot the computer. Wait for the menu screen. Choose Mac To eject a CD or DVD disk, close the disk application, then press F12 on the keyboard. |

Show a Document or Object |
On the DOCUMENT CAMERA, Remove display base from rack shelf, if needed. (Recommended for transparencies or small objects.) Place it under the camera head. To operate: Use the light only when necessary, as it will often add glare to the projected image. Elmo TT-02s |

Show a DVD |
A DVD can be played using the DVD/VCR deck or the Computer. For higher video quality, use the computer. You can play a Region 2 or 3 DVD in classrooms furnished with Multi-region DVD/VCRs, or try VLC on the computer. To Play a DVD using the DVD/VCR, On the DVD/VCR, To Play a DVD using the COMPUTER Follow the ‘Use the COMPUTER’ instructions to display the computer. Log in to either Mac or Windows. Insert a DVD into the computer disk drive. To play the DVD, See further instructions on how to use these applications. |

Display your Laptop Computer |
Power ON your laptop computer. Mac laptops require a VGA video adapter. (Available for checkout at the IIT Helpdesk) If necessary, turn on 'mirroring' in your display settings, so the room display image is identical to that on your laptop screen. Adjust volume level with Control Panel and/or Laptop volume controls. |

Show a VHS Video Tape |
A DVD can be played using DVD/VCR deck or the computer. For better video quality, use the computer. You can play a Region 2 or 3 DVD in classrooms furnished with Multi-region DVD players (labeled as such), or try VLC on the computer. To show a DVD using the DVD/VCR, Power ON the room's display. Choose DVD as your source. On the DVD/VCR, Use the remote control (or Touchpanel controls) provided. To show a DVD using the COMPUTER Power ON the room's display. Choose COMPUTER as your source. Log in. Insert a DVD disk. In MAC, when you insert a DVD, it will automatically begin playing in 'DVD Player'. If you prefer to use VLC, close DVD Player and open VLC. Using Windows, we recommend Windows Media Player or VLC.
