How to Enable Cookies

Cookies are packets of information that are used by websites to remember numbers, words, and other information for a specific user, such as when using an online store or filling out a form. Some sites require cookies to be enabled, and this is done differently for each browser. These instructions are for the most common internet browsers: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Safari.

Firefox

  1. Click on Tools in the top toolbar
  2. Click on Options in the drop down box
  3. Click on the Privacy tab, click on the Cookies tab
  4. Check the box marked Allow sites to set cookies.

Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8

  1. Click on Tools in the top toolbar
  2. Click on Internet Options in the drop down box
  3. Click on the Privacy tab, and select the Medium setting using the slider control.

Safari

  1. Click on Safari in the top menu
  2. Click on Preferences in the drop down box
  3. Click on the Security icon
  4. Click on Always in the Accept Cookies box.
