Setting up Your E-mail Reader
Use Thunderbird
IIT recommends that you use Thunderbird to read and send e-mail. Thunderbird is a free piece of software you may install Thunderbird from the Novell server prime.stolaf.edu or download it from Mozilla's web site. Complete configuration directions for Thunderbird.
If you choose something else
If you choose a different e-mail software system, IIT will only be able to give you limited support if you run into problems. We can't provide you with step-by-step instructions for setting up all of the other e-mail packages in the world, but here are the basic settings that all systems need. You may or may not need all of the pieces.
