Connecting to the Novell Servers from a PC
Using a College-Owned Computer:
College-owned PC's are configured to automatically connect to the Novell servers when you login. If you didn't log in when you arrived at the computer, restart the computer and make sure you see the Novell login screen.

Enter your St. Olaf username and password and click OK. Once you have logged in, go to 'My Computer' and you will see something like the following (while in 'List' view). Refer to the Novell Server Organization document for explanations about each network drive (those labelled H:, I:, L:, P:, and S:).

Using a Personally-Owned Computer:
Note: If connecting via the wireless network, please refer to the wireless documentation, instead.
In order to connect to the Novell servers, you need to have gone through the directions for connecting in the residence halls (even if you aren't actually in a residence hall, the directions are the same). The process only needs to be completed once.
Once you have completed the initial configuration, you will automatically connect to the Novell servers when you login. If you go to 'My Computer' you will find the network drives similar to the ones shown above. The labels might be slightly different, but the drive letters (H:, I:, L:, P:, S:) should be the same. Refer to the Novell Server Organization document for explanations about each network drive.
