New Library Staff

Inga Velde

Our new Circulation/Reserves Associate, Inga Velde, recently returned to Northfield after 13 years in Seattle, where she worked at the University Book Store. Before that, she cataloged recordings at WCAL and edited research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. A Paracollege alum, Inga studied English Literature in Oxford and at the University of Minnesota. She enjoyed working at Rolvaag Library as a student three decades ago and is happy to be back.

Marcus Richter

Marcus Richter worked for the libraries as a volunteer last year in both Cataloging and Public Services.  We liked him so much that we hired him for a temporary, part-time position in Cataloging this year.  A native of Germany, Marcus is cataloging foreign language materials for us.  Currently he's working on cataloging books in our collection that had cards in the old card catalog but have not yet have been added to our online catalog.  He also will be cataloging a gift of books from the Norwegian Department.
