Residence Hall Computing Resources

By John Campion

St. Olaf College has nearly 100 Macintosh and Windows PC computers available for student use in the residence hall computing labs.

Student computing consultants are on duty in the residence hall computing labs (and Rolvaag 115) to assist you with questions and problems Sunday through Thursday, from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Residence Hall Net Connections

All residence halls now have network connections in student rooms. If you own an ethernet-capable Macintosh, you can connect in any residence hall. Ethernet-capable PC's can connect in all halls except Mellby. Residence hall student computing consultants can help you get connected. Information about residence hall network connections and an online application are available on the St. Olaf Web site at :

http://www.stolaf.edu/services/acc/resnet/

Network jacks in all the first-year student rooms are already active, so students in those halls do not need to apply for a connection.
