IIT and Rolvaag Library provide access to a variety of audio and visual equipment for students who require it for class-related coursework. Specially equipped Apple computers located in RML329 and RML330 are available for working with video, audio, photos, and web content. Each workstation features an external hard drive for saving projects, an either a HDV tape deck, or photo scanner.

Sony HDV Tape Deck - RML329
HDV tape decks are used for capturing footage on DV cassettes and digitizing the footage into a program such as iMovie. The deck plays back tapes recorded in both the DV and HDV format. A 7” LCD screen allows for easy review of recorded footage.

Photo Scanners - RML329
Photo scanners allow for the conversion of physical photographs and documents into digital format. After scanning, documents can be edited in a program such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, sent over email, or incorporated into other media projects. Buttons on the front of the scanner allow for quick conversion of documents to the universal PDF format. |
