LaRue Pierce
Welcome to the sophomore web page! My name is LaRue A. Pierce, and I am the Associate Dean of Students and the Dean for sophomores. We are pleased that you have decided to remain an Ole; and this is sure to be an exciting year for you. I urge you to take advantage of the many opportunities that St. Olaf College offers, from belonging to student organizations to utilizing the many great campus facilities and resources.
My main focus as your dean is to make sure that you are successful. I want you to have a great learning and social experience while attending St. Olaf College. Some of my responsibilities include tracking students' academic progress, assisting students with life occurrences, and serving as the coordinator for judicial affairs. If you are not aware of St. Olaf College Code of Conduct I urge you to take the time to become familiar with it.
My office is located on the second floor of the Administration building in room 223C next to the Registrar's office. You will see me on campus utilizing the many great facilities, from exercising in the new Tostrud Center to dining in Stav Hall. If you do see me, please introduce yourself! It is my goal to meet all of you this year.
If there is anything that I can do to make this academic year a smooth one for you, please do not hesitate to ask. If you have a question but do not know where to start I urge you to start at the Dean of Students Office. If we are unable to answer your questions we will send you to the appropriate person who will assist you. This is sure to be an exciting year on the Hill.
