Basic Information for Off-Campus Living
For many students attending St. Olaf, living on campus is a big
part of enjoying the college experience. The social activities,
the proximity to fellow students, and the general campus hustle
and bustle can provide numerous opportunities for fun and comfortable
living. However, if you sometimes find yourself wondering if you
would prefer living off-campus and experiencing more independence,
you are not alone! Many students annually elect to live in off-campus
housing, both in honor houses and individually arranged rental units.
It can be a wonderful experience, allowing you an increased sense
of self-sufficiency and an opportunity to direct your own lifestyle.
It can also be a very difficult experience, involving many responsibilities
and burdens students may or may not take into account.
